Olav Mitchell Underdal

Principal Attorney & Client Counsel

Mr. Underdal is a licensed attorney, admitted to the California State Bar. He holds a Juris Doctor in Law from Northwestern California University School of Law, a M.S. in General Engineering from The Technical University of Denmark with concentrations in Electronics, Software Engineering & Systems Engineering, and a M.S. in Computer Science/System Design from the University of Manchester, UK. He is a co-inventor of 15 United States patents, and has drafted and prosecuted more than 130 US patents to issue on behalf of clients.

Previously, Mr. Underdal was Vice President of Product Delivery for Mitchell International, with responsibility for Platform and Appraisal solutions offered by Mitchell’s Auto Physical Damage Solutions division. Before this, Mr. Underdal was Director of Engineering for SPX Corp., leading development of computer diagnostic systems for the automotive industry. In this position he led a large engineering department in the development of automotive diagnostics solutions, including development of patented adaptive diagnostics technology. Prior to his tenure at SPX Corp., Mr. Underdal served as a Vice President of Engineering for LogicTree Corp., a start-up developing Speech Automation and Multi-Modal Content Delivery Solutions, as well as a Manager at Accenture, working for more than 8 years in Technology Services consulting.

Mr. Underdal was presented with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award by Marquis Who's Who in September, 2021. Mr. Underdal was endorsed by Marquis Who's Who as a leader in the fields of computer technology, software engineering and patent prosecution. Additionally, he has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in patents and business administration.



Mr. Underdal is a member of the American Bar Association, the California Lawyers Association, and the Orange County Bar Association.
